  1. Registration of Recruitment Agencies/Companies with the Employment &   Welfare Section of the Embassy

As the first step in obtaining approval for a job order, the recruitment agency or company in the Republic of Korea must register with the Employment & Welfare (E&W) Section of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul.

To complete the registration process, the following documents must be submitted:

Duly completed application form for the registration of a recruitment agency or company in Korea. (click here for Annex -01)

  1. Business Registration Certificate of the recruitment agency or company.
  2. Copy of the National Identity Card or Passport of the owner.
  3. Job Placement Licence /Certificate issued by the relevant local government authority. (In the case of a recruiting agency) 
  4. List of Directors of the recruiting agency in Republic of Korea (if applicable).
  5. Letter of Authorization issued by the recruitment agency or company authorizing a representative to submit the documents to the Embassy (required only if the documents are submitted through a representative).
  6. Copy of the National Identity Card or Passport of the authorized representative (required only (6) above is applicable).

Registration Fee:
A registration fee of USD 42.00 or the equivalent amount in Korean Won (KRW) is payable at the time of registration and the above registration is valid for a period of one year from the date of registration.

If any of the above documents are in Korean, an English translation must be submitted together with the original documents.

Note:
Upon successful completion of the registration process, the Employment and Welfare (E&W) Section will issue a username and password to enable access to the SLBFE Job Order Approval Process web system. 

The recruitment agency or company may then use these credentials to create and submit its job orders.

  1.   Job Order Authentication

Upon successful registration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul, the recruitment agency or company may submit documents for Job Order Authentication.

Before submission, the following documents must be properly prepared and duly completed:

  1. Demand Letter (Job Order)
  2. Agent-to-Agent Agreement relevant to the job order (Agreement between recruiting agent or a company in Korea and Licensed Foreign Employment Agent in Sri Lanka)
  3. Special Power of Attorney

  1. Letter with Required Qualifications (If qualification & experience have not been included in the Demand Letter)
  2. An agreement between the employer/employers and the Recruiting Agent in Korea, if recruitment is made through an agency in the Republic of Korea.
  3. Sri Lankan Recruitment agent must hold a valid license from SLBFE.

Once the above documents have been completed, the registered recruitment agency or company shall upload the required information and supporting documents to the SLBFE Job Order Approval Process web system using its authorized login credentials.

After reviewing the uploaded information and supporting documents, the Employment and Welfare Section will notify the applicant to submit the original hard copies of the relevant documents for the authentication of the job order. The authentication fee is follows:

Authentication Fee

A fee of USD 180.00 or the equivalent amount in Korean Won (KRW) is payable for the authentication of the above documents (USD 60.00 per document).
